Yeah I get what you mean π β black setup helps a lot.
Because:
- Black surfaces absorb light β
- Less reflection β less glare on keys β
- Keys become easier to see β
But hereβs the catch (important)
Even if the keyboard doesnβt reflect much:
π That light source itself is still hitting your eyes
In your photo:
- Left side LED is directly visible
- Thatβs the real issue, not the keyboard
So your setup is:
- β Good visibility on keys
- β Still harsh on eyes over time
Simple test (try this)
Sit normally and look at your screen:
- If you can see the LED directly β itβs too harsh
- If you only see the light on the keyboard β perfect
